The good news about last nights game…

There is a lot of promise in this team.  Personally, I’m looking for a strong commitment…but for right now, promise will suffice.

I’ve mentioned that I put very little weight into preseason games.  With what the Ducks did last year to start off the season, going 6-1-1 in the preseason and then 1-5 to start the regular season, I would gladly take the opposite this year.

There was so much to be excited about from many players.  I, for one, will have a hard time not mentioning Evgeny Artyukhin and SPEED/SIZE in every blog post.  On the same hand, I don’t think I’ll mind hearing, “Koivu to Selanne…SCORES!” (or vice-versa) on a regular basis either.

No matter what, the Ducks are headed in the right direction, and last night might have been the first indication that JS Giguere is trying to reclaim his spot between the pipes.

Again, it’s only preseason, and nothing to get too excited about.  On that same note, there were a lot of holes and areas for improvement, so thankfully there are a few more games to patch those up.

No matter what, it’s hockey…the home opener is just around the corner!

GO DUCKS!!!
