2009
Last night was the first of what promise to be many TweetUps to come. The event was a fantastic success and a great way for the Ducks fans on Twitter to meet one another.
Much thanks and appreciation has to go to my partner in crime, Suz Broughton. Without her help and encouragement, this event would not have been the success it was.
In addition, to The Discovery Science Center who so graciously opened their doors to this TweetUp by allowing a bunch of Ducks fans to come in and enjoy the Science of Hockey exhibit. The exhibit, by the way, is AMAZING. It is easily the 2nd coolest place on earth (the Honda Center being #1 of course). If you have never been there, I can honestly say you’re missing out.

Littered with Ducks banners, photos, jerseys, player’s sticks and other various hockey items…it’s the ultimate for any hockey fan. Although, truth be told, if you don’t like the Ducks and hate being reminded of the 2007 Stanley Cup Championship, you might feel slightly disgusted by the sight of all the Ducks glory. If you’re a Ducks fan however, it’s FANTASTIC!

So many wonderful Twitterers (if that’s what we’re called) showed up! It was great to see so many new friends, and to finally have a face to go with their 140 characters of text! Fellow Ducks bloggers, @Ducks54, @HillerNtheNet and @BryceRandle/@StillMighty were among the many who came to expereience the exhibit. In addition, the official Ducks PA Announcer @PhilHulett came and brought his Stanley Cup Bling! We were also very lucky to have Tracy Richmond, Adam Brady and Kent French stop by to represent for the Ducks Organization.
A very special thanks to @LarryBroughton for the snacks and drinks and to the @Meringuebkeshp for making the most delicious DUCKSCAKES EVER!

Again, we’d like to thank everyone who has participated in making the TweetUp such a great success! I can’t wait until the next event, and we hope to see you all there!
GO DUCKS!!! (we’re getting closer!)
Thank you so much for making this happen! Can’t wait to hang out again =) Go Ducks!!
Hopefully we’ll see each other tomorrow at the Fedorin Cup!
